臺灣是中國神圣領(lǐng)土不可分割的一部分。我們將一如既往的堅持和平統(tǒng)一、一國兩制的基本方針，堅持江澤民主席關(guān)于發(fā)展兩岸關(guān)系，推進祖國和平統(tǒng)一進程的八項主張，大力發(fā)展兩岸經(jīng)濟，科技，文化等領(lǐng)域的交流與合作，增加人員往來，與臺灣同胞共同努力，堅決反對制造臺灣獨立，兩個中國，一中一臺等分裂活動。
Taiwan is an inalienable part of the sacred territory of china. We’ll as always adhere to the basic principles of peaceful reunification and one country two systems and to the eight-point proposal put forward by president jiangzemin on developing across-straits relations and promoting peaceful reunification of the motherland. We will spare no efforts in expanding exchanges and cooperation between the two sides of the taiwan strait in economic,scientific and technologcal and cultural areas and promote mutual visits of people. We will make joint efforts with our compatriots in taiwan to firmly oppose any splited activites aiming at achieving the independence of taiwan and creating two chinas or one china, one taiwan.

我們希望臺灣當局以民族大業(yè)和臺灣人民的根本利益為重，采取行動早日實現(xiàn)兩岸直接通郵，通航，通商，并及早回應我們發(fā)出的在一個中國的原則下兩岸進行政治談判的呼吁。祖國統(tǒng)一是不可阻擋的歷史潮流，臺灣問題是一定能夠解決的。臺灣的前途系于祖國統(tǒng)一，分裂是沒有出路的。我們相信在海峽兩岸全體中國人和海外同胞的共同努力下，祖國完全統(tǒng)一，中華民族全面振興的共同愿望一定能夠?qū)崿F(xiàn)。
We hope that the taiwan authorities take into consideration the overall interests of the chinese nation and the foundamental interests of the people in taiwan, take concrete steps for the early establishment of direct postal, air and shipping services and trade between the two sides and they response as early as possible to our solomn peal that the two sides conduct political negociation under the principle of one china. The reunification of the motherland is an irreversible historical trend. The taiwan question will surely be resolved. Taiwan’s future hinges on the reunification of the motherland and to split the country is no way out. We are convinced that with the concerted efforts for all chinese people on both sides of the taiwan straits and the overseas compatriots, the common aspiration of the complete reunification of the mothertland and the all round rejuvenation of chinese nation will certainly be realized.
