1. What is the most memorable thing in your childhood?

When I was a kid, well, many things were happy and unforgettable, such as a good book, a gift, a lovely dress, a delicious meal... But, the most memorable thing in my childhood is my grandpa's death. That was the first time that I touched death. So, I felt bad and memorable.
My grandpa was kind and friendly. Smile was always on his face. He loved me. When he went out, he always brought some little things to me. When I was going to bed, he always told me stories. At that time, I thought I loved him much more than my mother.
One day, when I came back home, no one was in. I was surprised. Then the phone bell was ringing. Mother cried and said, "Come to the hospital, your grandpa, dead." I saw my grandpa in hospital with all people around him. Everyone was crying sadly. I cried and shouted, "Grandpa, Grandpa..." I could not believe the fact that grandpa had left me. Anyway, he could not look at me any more.
I cannot forget what my grandpa did for me in my childhood. I cannot forget the scene in the hospital. As a matter of fact, he is my hero. Grandpa's passing away makes me realize that I should love and cherish each person who loves me.

2. Is there a generation gap between you and your parents?

These years the issue of generation gap between parents and their young children has raised people's attention. For me, this is a tough problem to slove and I even think I could not completely understand my parents' mind until someday I become a real parent.
I still remember the summer holiday when I was 13, most girls around me had a sharp change. They wore colorful T-shirts, tight jeans, shining necklaces, and fashionable earrings. I began to dress myself like them and I felt all the things were fresh and exciting. However, my parents were in a terrible rage when they noticed my change. They gave me an advisory talk and made me really embarrassed. They didn't give me any chance to explain it at all.
Since that happened, I began to notice a number of differences and misunderstandings between my parents and me. They judged me by their own standards and told me to do what they wanted me to do. I found I lost myself sometimes. After we argued there was always an unhappy ending.
Things began to change when I started my college life. My parents do not supervise or criticize me any more. Instead, they often show their support and encouragement, which make me feel the love from family. And I realize that the generation gap is just a lesson we must have and we children do not need to hate our parents. This lesson makes everyone grow up.
