region,area與district三者均可表示“地區”，它們的區別如下：
1. region通常指較大的地區，它既可以表示一個國家的行政分區，也可以指非行政分區。如：

2. area是這組詞中用得最廣的，表示的“地區”可大可小，但通常不指行政分區。
