They're All in the Same Boat

Three men were sitting on a bench in the park.

The middle one was reading a newspaper, and

the others were pretending to fish. They baited

imaginary hooks, cast lines and reeled in their

catch. A passing policeman stopped to watch

the spectacle and asked the man in the middle

if he knew the other two. “Oh, yes,

they're my friends!”

“In that case,” the police officer warned him,

“you had better get them out of here.”

“Yes, Sir!” the man replied, and

he began rowing furiously.

同舟共濟

有三個男人坐在公園的長椅上，中間那位在看報紙，

另外兩位則假裝在釣魚，他們用假想的魚鉤掛餌、

拋出釣魚線，再收線拉回他們釣到的東西。一位

路過的警察停下來看到這一幕，就問中間這個人是

否認識其它兩位。「喔，是的，他們是我的朋友！」

警察警告他說：「既然如此，你最好把他們帶走。」

他回答：「是，警察先生！」然后他開始奮力地劃船。
