It was a terrible day for Mr and Mrs Lin. The old couple was on holiday at a mountain resort.
對林先生和林女士來說，這真是糟糕的一天。這一天，這對老夫妻正在山區旅游勝地度假。
They were taking a walk in the early afternoon, when suddenly the ground started to shake.
午后他們正在散步。突然，地面開始劇烈地晃動。
In just two minutes, everything changed completely! They were in the middle of a very strong earthquake!
2分鐘內，所有這一切都改變了。他們正位于一場大地震的震中！
The Lins tried to find some other people first. One by one, they found 23 other people.
老林夫婦開始找人。一個接一個地找，他們最后找到了23個人。
Many were tourists, young and old. Soon it was dark and it started to rain heavily. Some cried and some lost hope.
在這些人里面，有很多都是游客，有年輕的，也有年老的。不一會，天氣陰沉下來，然后下起了暴雨。有些人開始絕望地哭喊。
At that moment, Mr Lin decided to take the lead.
這時，林先生決定帶領這些人脫離險境。
He called for everyone's attention and said, "The roads are too dangerous. We can't go down the mountain until tomorrow. We must stay here tonight."
他對所有人大聲說道，“公路上太危險了，我們沒法下山，只有等到明天了。我們今天晚上必須要在這兒過夜。”
Then Mr Lin and a few young men went back to the ruins to look for food and blankets.
林先生說完，就和幾個年輕人回到廢墟中尋找食物和毛毯。
They found some, but not enough for everyone. The young people gave theirs to the older ones.
他們找到了一些急救品，但是無法滿足所有人的需求。年輕人們紛紛把自己的食物和毛毯給了老人們。
After that, Mr Lin divided the people into five groups. Each group had a leader.
之后，林先生把人們分成了5個小組。每個小組都有一個組長。
He also collected all the mobile phones and made sure each group had one.
他同時也把所有的手機都收集起來，以確保每個小組都有一部手機。
They used them as flashlights. Every 30 minutes, the group leaders flashed their mobile phones, and the light in the dark rainy night made everyone feel safe.
他們把手機當做手電筒使用。每隔30分鐘，小組組長用手機閃光發出信號。這些光亮讓大家在漆黑的雨夜中感到安全。
Early the next morning, the groups started to go down the mountain.
第二天一大早，小組開始下山。
It was a difficult journey, but the group members encouraged and supported each other.
這的確是一段很艱難的路程，但是小組成員們都互相給對方加油鼓勁兒。
After twelve hours' walking, they finally got out safely. By then, it was 30 hours after the earthquake.
在行走了12個小時之后，他們終于脫離了險境。到那時為止，地震已經發生30個小時了。
Everyone was tired but they felt lucky because they were part of a special team. This special team gave them hope for life.
每個人都很疲憊，但是他們都覺得很幸運。這是因為他們都是這個特殊團隊的一部分。這個特殊團隊給了他們生存的希望。
