Each time a medal was presented to a winner at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, the award music was played. Themusic was written by Tan Dun, a world-famous composter.
在北京2008年奧運會上,每當獎牌頒發給比賽勝利者時,頒獎音樂隨即就會響起。這就是由譚盾作曲的。譚盾是一位世界著名的作曲家。
Born in 1958 in central Hunan, China, Tan Dun grew up near the Liuyang River. When he was very young, Tan showed an interest in music.
譚盾,1958年出生于中國的湖南省。他在瀏陽河畔長大。在他很小的時候,譚盾就表現出對音樂的興趣。
He loves the sounds of the rushing water and the blowing wind because, to him, the best music comes from nature.
他喜歡水流的聲音,喜歡風吹的聲音,對他來說,最好的音樂來自與大自然。
Since he had no musical instruments then, he made music with common objects like stones and paper.
由于那時候他并沒有樂器,所以他只能將最普通的石頭和紙張最為樂器。
In 1978, Tan entered the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. Eight years later, he went on to study in the USA. There he got to know great musicians from around the world.
1978年,譚盾考上了北京的中央音樂學院。8年后,他去美國繼續深造。在美國,他認識了來自世界各地的偉大音樂家。
