English Week at Rosie Bridge School
羅西橋學校的英語周
Last week, students at Rosie Bridge School worked hard to make their English Week a big success.
上周，在羅茜橋學校學生的共同努力下，英語周（活動）大獲成功。
There was an English book fair in the library and a treasure hunt.
在圖書館有一個英語書博覽會和尋寶活動。
Some students put on an English play.
有些學生投身到一個英語劇。
Other students took part in an English singing competition.
其他一些的學生參加了英語歌唱比賽。
There was also a speaking competition. The students had to speak on a topic in English for two minutes.
還有一個演講比賽。學生們必須圍繞主題做兩分鐘的英語演講。
We spoke to the winner, Henry.
我們采訪了冠軍——Henry。
“I'm so happy that I won,” he said.
“我很高興我贏了，”他說。
“I advise people to speak slowly.
“我建議講得慢一點。
- If they want to be good public speakers they'd better speak clearly and confidently.”

We also spoke to several other students about English Week. One of them was Amy.

“I really enjoyed English Week. It gave me a chance to learn new words.

- In my opinion, every school should have an English Week. It's well worth doing,” she said.

On the last day of English Week, the head teacher gave a speech to the whole school.
英語周的最后一天，校長對整個學校發表了講話。
He gave students some suggestions on how to improve their English.

“You should communicate in English with your friends whenever you can.
“你應該盡你所能用英語與你的朋友進行門交流，
- You should read English books and magazines, and watch English television programmes.
- 應該多閱讀英文書籍和雜志，收看英語電視節目。
- Above all, you should enjoy English!” he said.
- 最重要的，你應該享受英語！”他說。
