第8課 馬可波羅和絲綢之路
Hello, everyone!
大家好！
My project is about Marco Polo and the Silk Road.
我的課題是馬可波羅和絲綢之路
Marco Polo was a man from Italy.
馬可波羅是一個(gè)意大利人。
At the age of 17, he went to China.
在17歲時(shí)，他來到中國
He travelled along the Silk Road with his father and uncle.
他和他的父親、叔叔一起沿著絲綢之路旅行。
Together, they moved goods between Europe and Asia on the Silk Road.
他們一起通過絲綢之路，在歐洲和亞洲之間運(yùn)送商品進(jìn)行貿(mào)易。
Later, Marco Polo travelled with his brother.
后來，馬可波羅和他的哥哥一起旅行。
They travelled on boats, horses and camels.
他們坐船，騎馬和駱駝去旅行。
Their journey lasted about twenty years!
他們的旅行持續(xù)了將近二十年！
In 1275, Marco Polo travelled to Beijing.
在1275年，馬可波羅去北京旅行。
He met the king and worked for him for 17 years.
他見到了國王并為他工作了17年。
During those years, Marco Polo learned about coal and paper.
在這些年期間，馬可波羅了解了煤炭和紙。
The Chinese discovered coal and invented paper.
中國人發(fā)現(xiàn)了煤并發(fā)明了紙。
These things were new to Marco Polo.
馬可波羅從來沒有見過這些東西。
He brought some coal and paper back to Italy with him.
他把一些煤和紙帶回了意大利。
He also brought back a lot of silk,tea and other goods.
他還帶回了很多絲綢，茶葉和其他物品。
Marco Polo wrote a famous book about his travels to China.
馬可波羅把他在中國的旅行寫成了一本著名的書。
I hope to write a book like that someday.
我希望將來某一天寫一本像那樣的書
