It was a very hot day. A big black bird called a crown wanted to have a drink of water.
那天天氣炎熱。一個名叫皇冠的大黑鳥想喝水。
The crown flew to a tree and he looked down.
皇冠飛到了一棵樹上，他往下看。
“Where is some water?” He said, “where can I find the drink?” Then he saw a pot.
他說，哪里有水？我在哪里能夠發(fā)現(xiàn)水，他看見了一個器皿。
The crown flew down from the tree to have a good look at the pot. Yes, there was some water inside it.
皇冠從樹上飛下來往下看，他把這個器皿仔細(xì)看了看。是的，里面有些水。
“Now I can have a drink,” said the crown, “that’s good.”
皇冠說，我現(xiàn)在可以喝水了，太棒了。
But the crown was a big bird, his head was too big to get inside the pot.
但是，皇冠是一只大鳥，他的頭太大了，進(jìn)不去。
“I do want drink,” he said, “but I can’t put my beak in the water.”
他說，我想喝水，但是我的嘴進(jìn)不去。
The crown had to walk away without the drink, then he saw some stones. He stopped and looked at the stonesfor a long time.
皇冠不得不離開器皿，他看見了許多石頭。他停下來，看著這些石頭，他看了很長時間。
Then he said, “I can see a way to get the drink.” The crown was a very clever bird.

The crown walked back to the pot with a stone and his beak. He put the stone in the pot. “Plop!” This made the water in the pot come up a little way.
皇冠嘴里叼著一顆石子回到了器皿處，他把石子放進(jìn)了器皿中，噗通，水從器皿中噴出來了。
The crown put some more stones into the pot one by one. “Plop! Plop! Plop!” The water came up inside thepot little by little.
皇冠又把更多的石子放進(jìn)了器皿中。噗通，噗通，噗通，水位越來越高了。
And then the clever clown had drink of water.
聰明的皇冠喝到了水。
