Don’t Put All Your Eggs in One Basket
Have you heard of the old saying “Do not put all your eggs in one basket”？It’s really unwise to risk all your resources or money on things that are very uncertain.
There are many examples to justify this saying. I saw a piece of news that one man used all his money up to buy lottery tickets hoping to get well-off overnight. But he was out of luck. Instead of becoming rich, he was homeless. Last week my uncle planned to buy another house because house prices of our community were rising. I persuade him to save the money up for a rainy day. If he spends all the money on another house, what should he do in case he is sick? So it is obvious that, for any plan that involves investments, one should always be prepared to confront with the worst situation even if it appears safe currently.
In conclusion, it is too optimistic to put all your hopes into good results. People should learn to avoid risks with a plan B.
