[記]通知一件事就是讓別人腦中(in)對一件事有形（form）有數了。

former a.以前的；在前面的 n.前者
[記]form-形成;-er人;形成一件事的人，是這件事的前者。
[另]其實這里面的詞根不是form，而是for-，表示前(如before)。而-ar表形容詞的時候是比較級，所以former就是更前面的，叫“在前面的”。
[注]很多詞根在往詞變化的時候，都會加上一個字母，比如這里的m。
[例]The experience from the former is not necessarily applicable to the latter.前考的經驗不一定就適用于后者。
latter a.后面的 n.后者
[記]late-遲到;-ter人。遲到的人都是后來者，遲到要坐在后面。
[辨]later是“更遲的，稍后，后來”，因為它是late遲直接加er，所以是“更遲的”，它就是late的比較級;它的最高級叫做latest,意思是“最遲的，最近的”。latter是加上lat-后面再加上ter，所以已經人化了，叫“后者”。
[搭]sooner or later遲早（都是比較級）the former... while the latter（前者……而后者）
[例]Later,we chose the latter plan to perform the task.后來，我們選擇了第二個方案來執行這個任務。
reform n.改革 v.改革；重組
[記]重新（re-）采取一種形式（form），叫改革。
[例]The policy of reform and openness was put into effect in 1979;and since then,China has tremendously changed.改革開放的政策是1979年推出的，從那以后，中國就舊貌換新顏了。
platform n.講臺；月臺；平臺
[記]撲賴(pla-)在他(t)身上撫摸(form)他。月臺離別的場景。
[例]The first company for us should not be served as a place to eam money but a platform to accumulate knowledge．我們第—個公司不應該被認為是賺錢的地方，而是積累知識的平臺。
transform v.改變；使變形
[記]trans-轉；-form形式。形式轉變了，叫變形。
[變]transformation n.轉化;變形
[例]Above zero degree centigrade,the ice will transform into the water．冰在零攝氏度以上時會轉化成水。
formula n.公式；準則；配方
[記]都是慢慢形成(form-)，才有了(-ula)公式。
[串]公式的兩邊是配方，公式是做題目的準則。
[變]formulate v.用公式表示；系統地說明；規劃
uniform n.制服；軍服 a.一致的；相同的
[記]uni-一，單(unit，單元）;form形式。大家都一個形式，穿上了制服，整齊劃一。
[變]uniformity n.一致性(一致地成為了一體i-ty)
[例]It doesn't matter whether a couple has uniform thoughts,but it matters a lot whether they can understand each other．情侶之間想法不一定要一樣；能不能理解彼此的想法才最重要。
