[記]用眼睛(sight)到處看(seeing)，用目光丈量風光叫做觀光。

profound a.深刻的；意義深遠的

superficial a.表面的，膚淺的
[記]super-超級；ficial是facial的變化，指“臉部的”。只是超級(super)注意臉部(ficial)的人是膚淺的。

artificial a.人造的；做作虛偽的
[記]臉(ficial)像一個藝術(art)品，動了很多手腳，所以是人造美女，她的表情會很做作。

intelligence n.智力；情報
[記]內部人(in)告訴(tell）你一件事(i-gen-ce)，所以叫做情報。情報多了，智力就高了。
[例]In the war,the most valuable weapon is the intelligence.戰爭中，最有價值的武器是情報。
[變]intelligent a.智能的；聰明的（還記得“踢死組合”么？-t結尾的形容詞對應-ce結尾的名詞，這次最后一次說哦！以后還不知道就會被“踢死”！）
[例]That boy is tall,handsome,and rich;sarcastically he is not intelligent.那個男孩兒是個高帥富；諷刺的是，腦袋卻不怎么好使。

intellectual n.知識分子 a.聰明的；智力的
[記]走進來(in)告訴(tell)大家真相(ectual,似actual)的人，是聰明的人，是知識分子。
[注]這兩個詞思思大王以前自己背單詞的時候都沒有弄清楚，這次在寫的時候詢問旁邊的老師們，也大多模棱兩可，所以親愛的你們在背的時候能夠搞清楚的話就牛掰了。intelligent和intellectual在表示“聰明的”的時候，前者指天生腦子好使，因為中間有個gen，是“基因”的意思，所以這種聰明是基因里所帶來的；而intellectual是指“后天的、學得的聰明”，它里面的lectual長得很像lecture(報告，講課)，所以是指在課上被告知(in-tell-)后學到了東西的聰明。當然，它另外一個意思，做名詞時“知識分子”就是講課、做報告的人------你也許覺得復雜，但是弄清后會很爽！
[例]The most thoroughly（詳細的)studied intellectuals in the history of the New World are the ministers and political leaders of seventeenth-century New England.自新世界（美國）有記載以來，最詳細被研究的知識分子們是17世紀新英格蘭的牧師和政治領袖。

official a.官方的；正式的 n.官員
[記]長著一張公司(office)臉(ficial)，是很正式的官員。
[例]In the office,officials are always dressed in official suits.在公司里面，高層都穿得很正式。

beneficial a.有益的
[記]幫你(be-ne-)長臉(-ficial)的人有益于你。
[注]ben-發音像“笨”，其實是“好”的意思。法語Bonjour大家都知道，是“你好”的意思，讀音像“笨豬”。
[變]benefit n.益處 v.有利于
[辨]和profit的區別：profit是指賺錢的“利”，而benefit是指更廣闊的“有利”，寫作中常用后者。
[例]Remembering vocabulary has massive benefits and it is beneficial to your intellectual development.背單詞有許多的益處，它有益于你的智力發展。
