Directions: In this section, there is a passage with ten blanks. You are required to select one word for each blank from a list of choices given in a word bank following the passage. Read the passage through carefully before making your choices. Each choice in the bank is identified by letter. 　　With the world's population estimated to grow from six to nine billion by 2050, researchers. businesses and governments are already dealing with the impact this increase will have on everything from food and water to infrastructure (基礎設施) and jobs. 十五選十的解法分為四步：

一．標注詞性，預先分組　

二．瀏覽全文，預測答案　

三．同性比較，選擇唯一　

第三步是關鍵的一步。對相同詞性詞匯與原文意思進行比照，選擇唯一的答案。利用上下文線索，詞的褒貶色彩，平行結構，單復數，時態等解題。

四．帶入選項，通讀檢查　

如何判斷所填空格的詞性是解題的另外一個關鍵。具體是：

如果是名詞：

語法上作主語或賓語，形式上前有冠詞或形容詞。

如果是動詞：

語法上做謂語，形式上前有情態動詞；前有代詞、名詞、名詞性短語，后有副詞或介詞短語；被動語態；做分詞；非謂語（不定式或by后面）等五種情況。

如果是形容詞：

語法上做表語或賓語補足語，形式上后有名詞；前有副詞兩種情況。

如果是副詞：

語法上就是修飾成分，形式上后有形容詞；動詞和介詞之間；助動詞或者情態動詞和主動詞之間三種情況。 　　

本次十五選十的難度是近幾次考試最大的，單詞比較生僻，句型結構比較復雜。具體而言，因為選項中只有兩個副詞，exactly和certainly，三個形容詞，stable、signifcant　和marvelous.所以從副詞和形容詞突破。例如，48題空格后是sustainable，所以空格選擇形容詞。50題后是動詞，說明空格選擇副詞。我們來看第47題。47題是第一題，其解題可以從前面一句的賓語increase尋到線索，所以答案是growth。
