A jury in Minneapolis has begun deliberating in the trial of former police officer Derek Chauvin. Chauvin is charged with second-degree murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter in the death of George Floyd last year.
A former Texas sheriff's deputy is in jail and accused of killing his ex-wife, his teenage stepdaughter and another man. Stephen Broderick was taken into custody outside Austin on Monday morning.
All Americans age 16 and older are now eligible for the coronavirus vaccine. Also, at least half of all US adults are now at least partially vaccinated.
Former Vice President Walter Mondale has died at the age of 93. Mondale, a Democrat, was Vice President during the Carter administration. He lost the 1984 presidential election to Ronald Reagan in a landslide.
