Greece continues evacuation of refugee camp
Authorities continue to evacuate migrants from a makeshift camp in the town of Idomeni, on the border with Macedonia. Authorities have dismantled tents and removed obstructions at railway tracks near the camp.
Most of the residents have been bussed to reception centers across Greece. But some protesting migrants have blocked access to the camp for the last two months, paralyzing rail transport.

Since Tuesday, Greek police have moved over 2,000 people out of Idomeni. Greek prime minister Alexis Tsipras said the non-violent evacuation has healed what he called a "wound" in the management of the migrant crisis. Meanwhile, the EU has lauded Greece's efforts.
"What happened at Idomeni in the past few days sends a powerful message to Europe that, with humanity and sensitivity, these people can receive hospitality and support, thus erasing an image that, as correctly stated in the past, was a disgrace for Europe, for the world, and for civilized humanity," said Dimitris Avramopoulos, European Union Migration Commissioner.
