Mr. Shi has been a consummate professional throughout his time at the news agency. He is an outstanding photographer whose work has been repeatedly honored both by the news agency and other Chinese news organizations.. He is also a highly capable writer and editor. At Chinese Journalists, he was responsible for all photographic columns. His bold and vigorous editing and selection were a major asset to the magazine, and he was soon handpicked for the responsibility to run a new publication, The Professional Photographers
Mr. Zhou showed his skill at winning contracts when he was assigned the job as assistant of logistics officer. In order to procure, handle, control and transport quality products and services, he conducted an extensive investigation into the needs of the clients and the sales strategies of our competition. He saw that firsthand ordering might generate an incredibly reduced price. Furthermore, he showed that our expanded service network could offer the retailers a service that was much faster and more efficient than the competition. Because of this, even if they offered a lower price the customers would still be attracted by our superior service. As he foresaw, the customers were won over by his argument and we won the contracts from the competition. Because of his major contributions to the company he was soon promoted to logistics officer, a significant advancement for someone who has only been with the company for one and a half years.
When it comes to the English language, Mr. Tao should have no problems making the leap from study in China to that in the States. To help my research at points when I was extremely busy, he made translations of documents for me, which was easy to follow. His oral English is also of a satisfactory standard to convey her opinions clearly on any subject.
Mr. Li has an incredible aptitude for studying foreign languages. When he was sent to Japan for training, he diligently applied himself to studying the language. His hard work paid off and within a short time he was communicating on a fluent level. Indeed, he was one of the few Chinese technicians who were able to attend training without a translator. His teachers often commented both on the high quality of his work and his ability to express himself in Japanese. The same enthusiasm and attention to detail that made him an outstanding engineer fueled him language success.
Miss Tong is an excellent team player, and a natural leader. She can cooperate effectively with all members of her team, and knows how to identify and utilize everyone’s special talents. Her positive, open style of working ensures buy-in from all participants, and creates an atmosphere where everyone is committed to achieving the same goal.
In our line of work, we always keep a sharp eye out for potential smugglers and officers who are likely to fall prey to corruption. Among our officers, Mr. Wu has proven to be one of those who are just, upright and above board in his dealings with others. Six months earlier, he queried an applicant on his documents, only to be threatened and later bribed with an envelope full of cash. While a lesser officer might have given in to fear or the temptation of money, Mr. Wu remained resolute. I felt very proud of him as my officer.
Probably key to his teaching success is his approach of giving as much information as students needed through his lectures. I attended these lectures myself, and found them entertaining as well as informative. His ability to convey complicated data accurately but in an attractive way would probably make him a highly effective communicator. His interpersonal skills secured him another post in a famous accounting school, where his strong work ethic and presentation skills made him very useful as an example to other staff.
Mr. Fan Jun’s teaching ability is natural, his courses are outstanding, and his students are sparked with interest. He brings a lively atmosphere to class resulting in his pupils’ full attention and participation. Take for instance one of his classes, “Media Theory and Practice”. Despite the course’s complexity, the design and organization he brings encourages student comprehension and practice, manifesting theory into reality. Not surprisingly, the demand for the course has always exceeded the allowed space.
