He is twenty-years-old, and lives in a poor neighborhood of Southern Boston. He is a mathematical genius, but also a troublemaker. He works as a cleaner at the MIT Department of Mathematics.

While working at the department, he solves a very difficult math problem and attracts the attention of Professor Lambeau. To prevent Will from jail, the professor introduces him to Sean, a therapist.

He had a troubled childhood, and was very often abused by his father for no reasons. So he kind of lives his life of an orphan, getting involved in fights and was jailed many times.

He looks strong, but is actually very scared inside.

He doesn't believe he is a good person, and doesn't accept his imperfections.

Sean：

"Maybe you're perfect right now. Maybe you don't wanna ruin that. I think that's a super philosophy, Will; that way you can go through your entire life without ever having to really know anybody."

You're not perfect, and let me save you the suspense, this girl you met, she isn't perfect either. But the question is whether or not you're perfect for each other. That's the whole deal. That's what intimacy is all about.

Nobody is perfect. Everyone has their own little idiosyncrasies. Some people call those imperfections, but no, that's the good stuff.
