艾米麗：（向羅斯和莫妮卡抱怨著辦酒席的人）……那時候還不到十點(diǎn)，廚師跑過來告訴我，要用基輔雞肉代替龍嵩葉雞肉。然后花店又說沒有郁金香了。哦，對了，大提琴手得了腕管綜合癥，我們就沒法……
Ross: Sweetie, you gotta relax. Everything’s gonna be great, Okay? Come on. Come on.
羅斯：親愛的，放松，一切都會好的，好嗎？沒事，沒事啊。
Monica: Chicken Kiev?
莫妮卡：基輔雞肉？
Ross: Um-hmm! Doesn’t that sound delicious at the last minute⑤?
羅斯：是啊，臨時有了這道菜還不錯吧？
Monica: Yeah, y’know, but something like salmon which would be so much more elegant than chicken. And, you wouldn’t have to worry about the salmonella⑥.2 So, I can’t wait to see this place you’re getting married!
莫妮卡：我是說，也許鮭魚一類的東西比雞肉看起來檔次更高一點(diǎn)。而且你還不用擔(dān)心會感染沙門氏菌。（羅斯推了一下莫妮卡）我迫不及待想看你們結(jié)婚的地方了！
Ross: Yeah. Yeah. Yes, this place is beautiful. Emily’s parents got married here.3
羅斯：是啊，是啊，沒錯，那地方可漂亮了，艾米麗的父母就在那里結(jié)的婚。
Emily: I still can’t believe they’re tearing it down. It really is the most lovely building you’ll ever see. I mean it’s over…Oh my God!4
艾米麗：我還是不敢相信他們居然要拆掉它，那絕對是最漂亮的建筑，我是說自從……（艾米麗看到拆除已經(jīng)開始了，突然停止了要說的話）哦天啊！
Monica: It’s nice.
莫妮卡：（很震驚）很漂亮啊。
Emily: Oh. Oh.
