'Surely you don't need such a very old piece of parchment?' he said. 'Why don't I just — throw this away?' His hand moved towards the fire.

'So!' said Snape, his long nostrils quivering.

Harry blinked. Snape's eyes gleamed.
哈利眨了眨眼睛。斯內普的眼睛亮了。
'Let me see, let me see ...' he muttered, taking out his wand and smoothing the map out on his desk.
“讓我看看，讓我看看……”他嘟囔道，拿出魔杖，在桌子上鋪平地圖。
'Reveal your secret!' he said, touching the wand to the parchment.
“顯示出你的秘密來！”他說著，用魔杖輕輕碰了一下那張地圖。
Nothing happened. Harry clenched his hands to stop them shaking.
什么事情也沒有發生。哈利握緊拳頭以防手發抖。
'Show yourself!' Snape said, tapping the map sharply.
“顯示！”斯內普說，用魔杖急劇敲擊地圖。
It stayed blank. Harry was taking deep, calming breaths.
地圖仍然一片空白。哈利長長地呼了一口氣，心情放松了。
'Professor Severus Snape, master of this school, commands you to yield the information you conceal!' Snape said, hitting the map with his wand.
“本院長西弗勒斯斯內普教授，命令你現出藏起來的信息！”斯內普說著，用魔杖打著這張地圖。
As though an invisible hand was writing upon it, words appeared on the smooth surface of the map.
好像有一只無形的手在那張羊皮紙上書寫似的，地圖平滑的表面出現了字跡。
'Mr Moony presents his compliments to Professor Snape, and begs him to keep his abnormally large nose out of other people's business.'
月亮臉先生向斯內普教授致意，并且請求他不要把他那大得不正常的鼻子伸到別人那里多管閑事。
