According to Business Insider, Amber Guyger, the Dallas Police officer who shot dead her black neighbor Botham Jean earlier this month, has been fired.

The 30 year old Guyger, who was hired by the department in November of 2013, has been charged with manslaughter.

However, attorney's for Jean's family have disputed Guyger's account, claiming witnesses say she banged on the door demanding to be let in.
