If you use the delivery service DoorDash, your next order could be delivered by a robot. In Redwood City, California, DoorDash is running a pilot program using Starship robots to deliver restaurant food to customers.

Each Starship robot is equipped with ultrasonic sensors and nine cameras for object detection. The robots are designed to travel on sidewalks and they can move up to 10 mph, but are limited to 4 mph in pedestrian areas. When an order is placed the robot navigates itself to the restaurant where the food is placed inside the robot's container.
