Have you ever watched a storm approaching on a hot summer's day?
你在炎熱的夏天見過一場雷雨來臨的情景嗎？
It's especially spectacular in the mountains.
這在山區尤其壯觀。
At first there's nothing to see, but you feel a sort of weariness that tells you something is in the air.
起先人們根本就什么征兆也沒看出，但是人們從自身的疲憊上感覺到，好像就要發生什么事。
Then you hear thunder – just a rumble here and there – you can't quite tell where it is coming from.
后來人們聽見雷聲，一會兒這兒一會兒那兒。人們不清楚，這雷聲是從哪兒來的
All of a sudden, the mountains seem strangely near. There isn't a breath of wind, yet dense clouds pile up in the sky.
后來群山一下子看上去今得令人毛骨悚然，一絲風也沒有，然而烏云卻在翻滾著。
And now the mountains have almost vanished behind a wall of haze.
群山幾乎消失在一片茫茫霧氣的后面。
Clouds rush in from all sides, but still there's no wind.
烏云從四面八方移過來，但是人們感覺不到風。
There's more thunder now, and everything around looks eerie and menacing. You wait and wait.
雷聲更頻繁了，一切顯得陰森可怕，鬼氣森然。人們等呀等呀，
And then, suddenly, it erupts. At first it is almost a release. The storm descends into the valley.
后來突然爆發起來了，起先這幾乎像一種解脫，狂風刮進山谷，
There's thunder and lightning everywhere. The rain clatters down in huge drops.
四面八方都是電閃雷鳴，大雨狂瀉而下。
The storm is trapped in the narrow cleft of the valley and thunderclaps echo and reverberate off the steep mountain sides.
雨水在狹窄的山谷凹地里不斷沖刷著，懸崖峭壁發出雷鳴的回聲。
