Fast means happening, moving, or doing something at great speed速度. 快速的 這個(gè)是大家熟悉的含義。

但，fast還有另外一個(gè)含義：
If you fast, you eat no food for a period of time.
禁食，斷食。

Here is an example:
I fasted for 2 days and lost 2 kilograms.
我禁食兩天，兩天沒吃飯瘦了2公斤。

今天為啥要說fast呢？Last week, when we asked what kind of topic you guys wanted to listen to, there were several listeners who told us they were interested in topics like dieting and how to lose weight.提到diet，第一個(gè)想到的就是以前看過的一個(gè)的紀(jì)錄片叫做：《進(jìn)食、斷食與長壽》<Eat, Fast and Live Longer>

It is a great show. 因?yàn)樗卮鹆撕芏嗳岁P(guān)于減肥的疑問。Nowadays, there are an increasing number of people trying to lose weight and look younger. Many people, especially young girls like those girl groups in South Korea basically eat nothing in order to keep fit. 但是，普通人真的很難做到像韓國女子組合那樣嚴(yán)格的控制飲食。

傳說中，South Korea's girl groups like girls generation, AOA and Park Boram（樸寶藍(lán)）only eat chicken breast, sweet potatoes and vegetables almost every day!在這些女子歌手發(fā)專輯之前，或者有重要的活動前。They can fast for days just hoping to look their best in front of the cameras. It is torture!!! 臣妾真的做不到啊！

而且，健康還是比漂亮重要一點(diǎn)點(diǎn)的。所以，今天想分享給大家之前看過的的這個(gè)節(jié)目。In this show <Eat, Fast and Live Longer>, the reporter Michael Mosley introduced several ways that are not only easier to use, but also look more scientific.

In this show, Michael has set himself a goal: he wants to live longer, stay younger and lose weight at the same time. 為了實(shí)現(xiàn)這些目標(biāo)，他采訪了美國幾所頂尖科研院所。And he personally tried the ways recommended 推薦 by those experts.
