Today I thought at the beginning of class we'd mention just a couple of little things that are going on,

that are relevant to how we behave and what we do, even though they might seem very tangential

One of the things that we see as a good quality is generosity in here, and the German for that is Freigebigkeit
但是在這一點上 有一個我們覺得很好的品質就是寬容,在德語里面這個詞是Freigebigkeit
Sometimes I write words in other languages because they're more meaningful to me
有時候我會用其他語言表達 因為它們看起來更有意義
Gaben means "to give" and free, of course, took so to give freely
Gaben的意思是免費給予 當然 無償給予
And generosity, we often don't think of the meaning of the words means liberality in spirit or act
慷慨 我們經常思考這個詞語的含義 它的意思是在行為上或者思想上慷慨大方
And what made me think about that is I was checking my e-mail this morning and we get our little news tips from campus and stuff,

and there is a blood drive this week

And, you know, some of those things, when you have an opportunity, you know, you should think this ties into who we are, ties into people
