United Airlines announced on Thursday that it will start service from San Francisco International Airport to Singapore's Changi Airport, starting June 1st.

The flight will be the only nonstop service to the U.S. from Singapore, and will save passengers about four hours in travel time.

According to Mashable, the more than 8000-mile flight will be 16 hours and 20 minutes long--the longest-scheduled flight operated by any U.S. airline.
