Dear Teacher,
親愛的老師：
I know it doesn't always seem like it, but I really do want to listen and learn.
我知道事情可能不總是看起來像這樣，但我真的想要聽你說話和學(xué)習(xí)。
It's just my brain is kinda different.
只是我的腦袋有點(diǎn)不一樣。
So this is what I'd like you to know about me.

I have to move, or I really can't pay attention.
我必須動來動去，不然我真的沒辦法專心。
Even though I'm not looking at you, I can still listen to what you're saying.
就算我沒有看著你，我還是可以聽你在說什么。
If you tell me, "Sit up straight," now I have to use all of my brain to do just that.
如果你告訴我：“坐好”，現(xiàn)在我得花所有腦力去只做那件事。
It makes me feel sad...when you tell me to try harder, even though I've already tried as hard as I can.
這讓我覺得很難過...當(dāng)你叫我更努力時(shí)，即使我已經(jīng)盡我所能去做了。
I actually listen better when I'm rocking in my chair.
我在晃椅子時(shí)其實(shí)比較聽得進(jìn)去。
When you give me a bunch of directions, I start to think, I will never remember all of this!
在你給我一堆指令時(shí)，我開始想，我永遠(yuǎn)都記不得這全部!
Sometimes my mom or dad ends up doing all of my homework.
有時(shí)我媽媽或爸爸變成最后幫我做所有功課。
So here's how you could maybe help!
所以這是你或許能幫上忙的方法!
Let me get up and move while I'm learning.
讓我在學(xué)習(xí)時(shí)站起來和移動。
Let me look wherever I want when you talk to me.
在你跟我說話時(shí)讓我看我想看的地方。
Let me rock or slouch in my chair.
讓我搖來搖去或癱在椅子上。
No matter what, please don't take away my recess.
無論如何，請不要收走我的休息時(shí)間。
Give me homework I can do all by myself.
給我我能自己完成的回家作業(yè)。
Make directions very short.
讓指示簡短有力。
Just ask me, "What does your brain need right now?"
只要問我：“你的腦袋現(xiàn)在需要什么？”
And one more thing: My brain might be different than yours, but it's still amazing.
