In England we use this often for a friend who is looking for a job. If we see something which really suits their skills and interests we would often say for example: “Hey you love animals, this dog walking job is right up your street!”.

2、You’ve been a while

你去了很久啊，咋離開了這么久？

If your friend went to the shops to buy some food, but he got back quite late. I could say “you’ve been a while”, to express my feeling. And show my curiosity.

3、pal

對朋友的第三人稱

In England we use pal to mean friend, more often in the 3rd person, such as, you’ve got a pal who works at the Cinema haven’t you?

4、mate

we also often say “mate” and more often use this in the 1st person, like, Hi mate, how’s it going?
