Ukraine's Interior Minister Arsen Avakov says at least 30 pro-independence militia have been killed during operations to crush anti-government forces in the east.

Arsen Avakov said on his Facebook page Tuesday that four government troops also died and 20 others were injured during fighting in Slavyansk on Monday.
