九地篇 NO.8：

是故政舉之日，夷關折符，無通其使，厲于廊廟之上，以誅其事。

敵人開闔，必亟入之，先其所愛，微與之期。

踐墨隨敵，以決戰事。

是故始如處女，敵人開戶；

后如脫兔，敵不及拒。

因此，在決定戰爭方略的時候，就要封鎖關口，廢除通行符證，不充許敵國使者往來；

要在廟堂里再三謀劃，作出戰略決策。敵人一旦出現間隙，就要迅速乘機而入。

首先奪取敵人戰略要地，但不要輕易與敵約期決戰。

要靈活機動，因敵情來決定自己的作戰行動。

因此，戰爭開始之前要象處女那樣顯得沉靜柔弱，誘使敵人放松戒備；

戰斗展開之后，則要象脫逃的野兔一樣行動迅速，使敵人措手不及，無從抵抗。

Be stern in the council-chamber, so that you may control the situation.

If the enemy leaves a door open, you must rush in.
