兵勢篇 NO.2：

凡戰者，以正合，以奇勝。
故善出奇者，無窮如天地，不竭如江海。
終而復始，日月是也。死而更生，四時是也。
聲不過五，五聲之變，不可勝聽也；
色不過五，五色之變，不可勝觀
味不過五，五味之變，不可勝嘗也。
戰勢不過奇正，奇正之變，不可勝窮也。
奇正相生，如循環之無端，孰能窮之哉！

這句啥意思：

大凡作戰，都是以正兵作正面交戰，而用奇兵去出奇制勝。
善于運用奇兵的人，其戰法的變化就象天地運行一樣無窮無盡，象江海一樣永不枯竭。
象日月運行一樣，終而復始；與四季更迭一樣，去而復來。
宮、商、角、徵、羽不過五音，然而五音的組合變化，永遠也聽不完；
紅、黃、藍、白、黑不過五色，但五種色調的組合變化，永遠看不完；
酸、甜、苦、辣、咸不過五味，而五種味道的組合變化，永遠也嘗不完。
戰爭中軍事實力的運用不過“奇”、“正”兩種，而“奇”、“正”的組合變化，永遠無窮無盡。
奇正相生、相互轉化，就好比圓環旋繞，無始無終，誰能窮盡呢。

英文這么說：

In all fighting, the direct method may be used for joining battle, but indirect methods will be needed in order to secure victory.
Indirect tactics, efficiently applied, are inexhaustible as Heaven and Earth, unending as the flow of rivers and streams;
like the sun and moon, they end but to begin anew;like the four seasons, they pass away to return once more.
There are not more than five musical notes,yet the combinations of these five give rise to more melodies than can ever be heard.

中國古人對“聲”，“色”，“味”的基本要素的理解，與我們現在不同。

五聲——宮、商、角、徵、羽五個音階

五色——青、黃、赤、白、黑五個色素

五味——酸、咸、辛、苦、甘五種味道。
