The drama "Red Rose and White Rose" has returned to Beijing and is causing something of a stir.The show has just finished its third series of performances at the National Center for the Performing Arts.
話劇“紅玫瑰和白玫瑰”重登北京舞臺并引起轟動。該話劇在國家表演藝術中心完成了它的第三個系列演出。
The play is produced by the National Theater of China, and is an adaptation of a novel by Eileen Chang. Director Tian Qinxin has added some new angles to the story, while keeping the original spirit. A glass corridor divides the stage into two parts -- one side in innocent white, the other with sophisticated red.
這部話劇由中國國家大劇院改編自張愛玲的同名小說。導演田勤新在保留原小說靈魂的同時又在其中加入一些新的元素。一個玻璃走廊將舞臺分割成兩部分，一邊是純白色，另一邊則是大紅色。
Actors passing through the corridor take a virtual walk through memory and reality. The play has gained good audience responses since its premiere in 2007, and has toured across Asia, giving more than 80 performances.
演員走過走廊時，仿佛一邊是回憶，一遍是現實。該部話劇自2007年首演以來，便深受觀眾喜歡，目前話劇“紅玫瑰與白玫瑰”已經在整個亞洲累計巡回演出達80余場次。
