來自中國55個少數民族的藝術家們齊聚北京參加第4屆全國少數民族藝術節。周六晚上, 來自中國東部江西省的畬族少數民族表演者們呈現給觀眾一出舞蹈劇。
Artists from China’s 55 ethnic minority groups are now gathering in Beijing for the 4th National Ethnic Minority Arts Festival. On Saturday night, She Ethnic Minority performers from east China’s Jiangxi Province presented the audience with a dance drama.
The She ethnic group’s annual March Third Festival attracts many people to its lively group dance.
The festival is especially important to a young man called Lanshan, who is busy preparing for his wedding
ceremony. Everything had been going smoothly for Lanshan, until his fiancee suddenly tells him that she wants to end the relationship because the marriage is opposed to by her mother.
In the end, Lanshan and his fiancee persuade her mother to accept the marriage, with the help of their friends and other villagers.
Besides the love story, the dance drama also provides a window into the rich and colorful arts and culture of the She Ethnic group. Their folk songs, dances, and customs are all displayed in the performance.
The dance drama is also a dazzling fashion show, as the She ethnic people’s delicate, multicolored and beautiful traditional costumes are showcased throughout the performance.
