Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has apologised to Patrice Evra after refusing to shake hands before Saturday's match between Liverpool and Manchester United.
Liverpool's official website issued the Suarez's apology on Sunday night, the Uruguayan saying he quote 'got things wrong'unquote. Suarez had only just returned to the team after serving an eight match suspension for racially abusing Evra when the teams last played each other in October.
While Suarez claimed his words were misunderstood and blamed the incident on cultural differences, the English Football Association deemed his acts worthy of punishment following exhaustive analysis of the incident.Manchester United responded, issuing a statement on it's own website saying the team had accepted the apology.
