Bergen has a population of around 250,000 people. The city relies heavily on the shipping and fishing industries and has one of the largest cruise ship harbors in Europe. One of the most beautiful cities in the country, it is a place with lots of culture and history. It's also home to the 2nd largest university. The standard of living is high and the people are friendly. The locals here enjoy life. And as soon as the weather gets good,they sit in outside cafés and soak up the sun.

The North Sea Trade is still very important to Bergen. A very powerful baltic trading federation known as the Hanseatic League founded one of their most important trading posts here in the 14th century.

There is always great seafood available in the historic quarter. One of the traditional restaurants is called the Unicon,a place where fresh fish are always guaranteed. Fish is the basis of all traditional Norwegian 2 . Smoked Samon is one of the famous Norwegian dishes. But there are many others. Here shellfish are one of the house specialities. For a good meal,you pay around 30 Euros per person. Locals and tourists love to indulge in such luxuries.

I heard a lot about these restaurants in Bergen. They serve traditional cuisines of delicacies. this is even more than I have expected. Fantastic!
