Yesterday , we have learnt the phrase " a labour of love" in a dialogue. I agree with the methods of Laishixiong's English study. I have bought his books called The Course of American English. 昨天我們學了一個地道口語，a labour of love 是心甘情愿做而且無報酬的困難的事情。我非常同意賴世雄老師的英語學習方法。賴世雄老師著有很多書，其中有一套是美語教程，有初級，中級和高級。這是他在中央人民廣播電臺教英語是的教學資料。即便現在，睡前我還是要翻翻他的初級教程，給我的教學中帶來很多啟發。時隔10多年，我沒有看一個英文單詞，但是我很快就把以前的東西撿回來了，那是因為我以前自己也是像賴世雄老師那樣學英語的。So today we'll go to learn the dialogue. 好，我們今天就來體驗一下賴世雄老師的英語學習法。

1 in this sentence "understand " means "to know or realize why or how something happens , how it works or why is important". For example: I cannot understand him taking the money. 我真想不通他為何要去偷錢。Here we have a phrase structure which is "understand+somebody+present participle". 在這里注意understand 的這個用法，動詞加上人加上現在分詞，意思是理解某人做某事，現在分詞在這里作賓語的補足語。
2 In this sentence "accept " means "to continue in a difficult situation without complaining because you realize you cannot change it". 這里有容忍，忍耐的意思在里面。For example: You just have to accept the fact that we've never going to be in rich. 我們只得接受我們永遠富裕不起來的現實。
【文法】此句中why Tom accept his present job在這里是賓語從句。

It pays low and occupy much of his free time.
【翻譯】這跟工作薪水低而且占用很多閑暇時間。
【要點】1 In this sentence "pay " means "to give somebody for work, goods, services ". Here is a set phrase : pay somebody for something. For example: I'll pay all of you for the tickets. 我來幫大家買票。
2 “Occupy”in this sentence means "to fill or use a space , an area, or an amount of time ". The meaning of "take up" is similar to it. For example: How much memory does the programme occupy? 這個程序占用多少內存。Administrative work occupies half of my time. 行政工作占用了我一半的時間。
【文法】在這句話中，low 作為副詞用，much 作為代詞用， of his much free time 介詞短語修飾前面的代詞 much. 并列連詞and 在此句中表遞進關系，譯為“而且”。

【要點】In this sentence "just" means "exactly". For example : this jacket is just my size. 這件夾克這是我的尺碼。How should we put "我就是這么倒霉"， all right , here is a short sentence: Just my luck, which means "the sort of bad luck I usually have". Let's look a sentence: Just my luck , the phone is not working . 我就是這么倒霉，電話又壞了。Oaky , what's the English for "你來得正是時候"？It is "You are just in time." And what's the translation of "我正是這么想的。"？It is "This is just as I thought."。這里注意just的用法可以和引詞as 連用，還可以和like 連用，for example: He looks just like her mother. 他看上去就像他的媽媽。還可以跟what連用，for example: It's just what I wanted. 這正是我想要的。just可以和as, like, what連用，有強調的意味在里面。不要小看一個詞，他很值得我們去品味一番，小小一個詞卻能傳達出我們豐富的思想感情。
【文法】just 是副詞，在這里作為狀語。

【要點】In this sentence "great"means "to be very good in ability or quality and therefore admired by many people". 意思是：優秀的，杰出的，卓越的，偉大的。For example: He is a great writer. 他是一個赫赫有名的作家。He has been described as the world's greatest violinist. 他被稱為世界上最杰出的小提琴家。Great art has the power to change lives. 偉大的藝術品有改變人們生活的魅力。
【文法】really 在這里是副詞，作狀語用，放于系動詞后。
