1.hectic adj. 興奮的，持續發熱的，發紅的

如：The journalist lead a hectic life.
新聞記者過著緊張興奮的生活。

2.Rule out 消除，排除，劃線隔開

如：Rule out neatly any words which you do not wish the examiner to read.
整潔地劃上直線刪除你不希望主考人批閱的任何話。

Rule out that entry in the ledger, the transaction was cancelled.
那項交易已取消了，請從分類帳上劃去那筆帳目。

3.set aside vi. 撇開(不顧，取消，放棄，保留)

如：She sets aside a bit of money every month.
她每月都存一點兒錢。

She set aside her book and lit a cigarette.
她把書放在一旁，點了一支香煙。

4.temporarily adv. 暫時地，臨時地

如：With several of their planes temporarily out of commission, the airline is losing money.
航空公司因有幾架飛機暫時不能使用而正在賠錢。

She's on attachment to (ie temporarily working in) the Ministry of Defence.
她暫時隸屬於國防部。
