She was born just a generation past slavery； a time when there were no cars on the road or planes in the sky； when someone like her couldn‘t vote for two reasons — because she was a woman and because of the color of her skin.

And tonight， I think about all that she‘s seen throughout her century in America — the heartache and the hope； the struggle and the progress； the times we were told that we can’t， and the people who pressed on with that American creed： Yes we can.
今日今時(shí)，回溯庫(kù)氏百歲之涯，但見吾邦先賢屢敗屢戰(zhàn)，且退且進(jìn)，悲欣交集，甘苦雜陳。幸而正道存焉，壯志存焉，曰：吾輩既在，無(wú)所不能。

At a time when women‘s voices were silenced and their hopes dismissed， she lived to see them stand up and speak out and reach for the ballot. Yes we can.
萬(wàn)馬齊喑，其事堪哀，吾邦女界怒而起，憤而爭(zhēng)，苦戰(zhàn)不歇，歷數(shù)十載。幸哉庫(kù)氏，以百歲之高齡，終得親見女流自立于世，重獲天賦之權(quán)——吾輩既在，無(wú)所不能！

When there was despair in the dust bowl and depression across the land， she saw a nation conquer fear itself with a New Deal， new jobs， a new sense of common purpose. Yes we can.
當(dāng)百業(yè)蕭條，國(guó)人絕望哀鳴之際，庫(kù)氏親見吾美利堅(jiān)出曠世之新政，挽狂瀾于既倒，扶大廈之將傾，退畏懼之勢(shì)，扶奮勇之心，終至人各有位，民心乃安——吾輩既在，無(wú)所不能！

When the bombs fell on our harbor and tyranny threatened the world， she was there to witness a generation rise to greatness and a democracy was saved. Yes we can.
當(dāng)吾國(guó)良港遭襲，天下桀紂當(dāng)?shù)?，暴政肆虐之時(shí)，庫(kù)氏親見豪杰群起，民主不衰——吾輩既在，無(wú)所不能！

She was there for the buses in Montgomery， the hoses in Birmingham， a bridge in Selma， and a preacher from Atlanta who told a people that “We Shall Overcome.” Yes we can.
蒙哥馬利公車之罷輟，伯明翰城黑人之群起，塞爾瑪城血雨腥風(fēng)之事，庫(kù)氏般般親歷。更曾親聆亞特蘭大傳教之士振臂登高之呼——“吾等必勝！”誠(chéng)哉斯言！吾輩既在，無(wú)所不能！

A man touched down on the moon， a wall came down in Berlin， a world was connected by our own science and imagination. And this year， in this election， she touched her finger to a screen， and cast her vote， because after 106 years in America， through the best of times and the darkest of hours， she knows how America can change. Yes we can.
俟科學(xué)昌明于世，創(chuàng)想通貫一時(shí)，既登廣寒之闕，又潰柏林之墻。洋洋乎！有百年如是，乃見今歲選戰(zhàn)中，庫(kù)氏之一票。浩浩兮！一百零六載交鋒更迭，方有美利堅(jiān)今日之變革——吾輩既在，無(wú)所不能！

America， we have come so far. We have seen so much. But there is so much more to do. So tonight， let us ask ourselves — if our children should live to see the next century； if my daughters should be so lucky to live as long as Ann Nixon Cooper， what change will they see？ What progress will we have made？
轉(zhuǎn)眼興亡過(guò)手，而今邁步從頭。追昔撫今，不禁捫心而問(wèn)——俟再歷百年歲月，倘吾等后輩兒孫，亦有得享高壽如庫(kù)氏者，復(fù)可見何等之變數(shù)？吾輩今日之功，他年可得而見之乎？

This is our chance to answer that call. This is our moment. This is our time， to put our people back to work and open doors of opportunity for our kids； to restore prosperity and promote the cause of peace； to reclaim the American dream and reaffirm that fundamental truth， that， out of many， we are one； that while we breathe， we hope. And where we are met with cynicism and doubts and those who tell us that we can‘t， we will respond with that timeless creed that sums up the spirit of a people： Yes， we can.
所謂天命時(shí)運(yùn)，莫過(guò)于此——當(dāng)為吾邦萬(wàn)民造安身立命之業(yè)，為吾輩兒孫啟各顯雄才之門，為寰宇各國(guó)創(chuàng)太平靜好之世，為吾等壯志賦千秋不滅之元神。吾邦立國(guó)之本，必將光耀于天下。萬(wàn)千同胞，當(dāng)如一人，一息尚存，夢(mèng)想不滅。縱有世人旁觀在側(cè)，而疑竇生焉，吾輩亦當(dāng)以千秋不易之訓(xùn)共答之曰——吾輩既在，無(wú)所不能！
