Dialogue Script 1 對話原文 1
Peter: You have to get to the airport at least two hours before the flight.
Sue: Why?
Peter: Because you need to check in.
Sue: What does that mean?
Peter: It means you give the airline your ticket and you get a boarding pass. Then they take your suitcase and put it on the plane?
Sue: Oh, I see. Umh, I don't really like it.
講解:
1. 這段對話講的是在機場要做的一些事情。首先你要至少提前兩個小時到機場， the airport，因為有很多手續要辦，而且如果趕上人多的話，就更費時間了。
2. 第一步是要辦理登機手續，就是check in，要去給你的那次航班的航空公司去驗票，航空公司是airline，驗票后，你就可以拿到一張登機牌，boarding pass You need a boarding pass to get on an airplane. 只有拿到登機牌才能上飛機。上面會寫明你的座位號。
3. 然后你的行李就可以交給航空公司托運了。

Mike: So you like planes, Anne?
Anne: Sure, I like planes. But I don't really like long flights.
Mike: I don't, either. But when I do fly, I like to sit on the aisle.
Anne: Why? I'd want to sit by the window! It's fun to look out the window when the plane takes off and lands.
Mike: I'd rather sit on the aisle. Then I can get up and walk around. I can't sit still for a long
time.
Anne: Yeah. A flight to America takes at least ten hours. That's a long time to sit still. But you can watch the movies and the flight attendant brings you things to eat and drink.
Mike: And I can sleep too.
Anne: Sleep? No Way!
講解:
1. long flights，長時間的飛行。
2. No way! 就是不會，不行的意思。在口語當中很常用。比如說： You want me to lend him five hundred bucks? No way! 你讓我借給他500塊錢?沒門!
3. 飛機起飛是The plane takes off. 飛機降落是The plane lands. The plane is about to take off /land in five minutes. Please fasten your seatbelt.飛機還有五分鐘就起飛了或者要降落了。 請系好安全帶。
