Are joined in their fall, and, side by side, Come clinging along their unsteady way;

Lo! while we are gazing, in swifter haste Stream down the snows, till the air is white,
看！我們凝視著，就這樣倏忽即逝雪花片片，直到天空一片白色，
As, myriads by myriads madly chased, They fling themselves from their shadowy height.
無數雪花瘋狂地追逐著，它們沖向自己高高的影靄。
The fair, frail creatures of middle sky, What speed they make, with their grave so nigh;
天空中央這些脆弱的生靈，下落的速度何其快，它們的墳墓又挨得那般近；
Flake after flake To lie in the dark and silent lake.
一片又一片，就飄落在黝黑平靜的湖上。
I see in thy gentle eyes a tear; They turn to me in sorrowful thought;

But the hurrying host that flew between The cloud and the water no more is seen;
