Inflation means that the prices of things increase.

Inflation sometimes happens because government prints too much money.

Because the value of money decreases, things get expensive.

So people need more money to pay for things.

They want to earn more money.

So, companies have to pay their employees more.

Here is a good example of inflation.

Ten years ago, you could buy an ice cream with ten cents.

Now you have to pay fifty cents to buy the same ice cream.
