1. place的基本意思是“地方”，in one's place 是常見短語(yǔ)，表示出在某人的位置
如:What would you do in my place? 你要是處于我的位置，該怎么辦呢？
這句話也指讓對(duì)方“替我設(shè)身處地想想，希望對(duì)方能理解自己

2. place做名詞時(shí)，有很多常用搭配，
如 It all begins to fall into place 一切都開始明朗起來(lái)。 其中 fall into place 開始有頭緒
in the first place 也是常用短語(yǔ)，表示 “ 原來(lái)， 本來(lái)” ，
如 I didn't agree with him in the first place 我原本不同意他

3. place可以做動(dòng)詞，意思是“放置”
如 Please place books in the bookshelf 請(qǐng)將書放倒書架上
