一.quite：adv. 相當，完全，十分，很，不太
【詞語用法】
fairly，quite，rather以及pretty的比較：
四個詞均屬于程度副詞。
Fairly一般修飾形容詞與副詞，表示很一般的程度。
“How was the film?”
“Fairly good. Not the best one I’ve seen this year.”
quite一般修飾動詞和名詞，表示的程度要比fairly深一點。
“How was the film？”
“Quite good. You ought to go.”
rather一般修飾動詞（尤其時感觀動詞）和名詞，表示的程度比quite要更強烈一點，意為“比預期的還要多一些”。
“How was the film?”
“Rather good. I was surprised.”
pretty是非正式用語，修飾形容詞與副詞，表示的程度與rather相當。
“How’s things?”
“Pretty good. You OK?”
可以有“quite right”與“all right”的表達方式。“quite right”指的是all right，而“all right”指的是quite right。偶有人會用“quite all right”，但表示的是all quite wrong。不過因該說法不合理，應盡量避免。
【錯句舉例與錯句分析】
錯句：He lay quitely still until the enemy moved away.
糾正：He lay quite still until the enemy moved away.
翻譯：他很安靜地躺著，直到敵人走遠。
分析：quite本身是個副詞，可直接修飾形容詞。

2.It was quite wonderful.
那可太妙了。
3.He's quite handsome.
他不太漂亮。

二.just：adv. 剛才，僅僅，正好，正是，簡直 adj. 公平的，公正的，適當的，精確的
【詞義辨析】
impartial just fair neutral objective
impartial: 側重對任何人或任何一方沒有成見或偏袒。
just: 多用于莊重場合，指不受個人利益得失或感情傾向的影響，側重按照公認的準則或標準處理問題。
fair: 普通常用詞，指不偏不倚地對待人和物，側重不受個人感情、偏見或利益所影響。
neutral: 強調持中立態度，不偏袒任何一方，甚至不作最后的裁決。
objective: 著重客觀、真實，不為個人偏見、興趣、感情或看法所左右。
very right just
very: 是形容詞，用來修飾名詞，位于the, this，my等限定詞后。
At the very beginning of this term, they took an exam.
就在學期開始的時候，他們舉行了一次考試。
right: 作副詞，用來修飾謂語（常為動詞be）或作狀語的介詞短語等，須放在the, this，my等限定詞之前。
The police looked at the thief right in the eye.
警察目不轉睛地盯著小偷。
just: 作副詞與right類似。
He is just the actor I want.
他正是我所想要的演員。
