一.moment：n. 片刻，瞬間，力矩，非常重要的時機，準確時刻
【詞義辨析】
moment, minute, instant,
moment: 較minute所表示的時間短，指一剎那或一段很短時間，有時也含持續的意味。
minute: 指極短的時間，但可覺察到時間的持續。
instant: 常與moment換用，指一瞬間，但更側重時間短促，多用于表示緊迫、瞬變等情況。
【例句用法】
1.My job is not a very glamorous one but it does have its moments.
我的工作雖不算十分吸引人，但也自有其樂趣所在。
2.I'll be back in a moment.
我一會兒就回來。
3.I'd like to speak to you for a moment.
我想和你談一會兒。
二.last：v. 持續，維持 adj. 最近的，上一個的，末尾的，最后的 adv. 最后，最近一次 n. 最后來的人（或發生的事），鞋楦(做鞋的模型)
【詞語用法】
lastly的用法與firstly基本一致，但lastly常表示“末了”，可以在上文沒有用到Firstly,Secondly,Thirdly等詞時使用Lastly去表示最終要表述的點；
last一般用完成時有時也用過去完成時還與介詞連用，如at；
last有最近過去的意思后可接week，month，Monday等，但不可以接morning等詞，如last morning應用yesterday morning來表示；
at last的使用較at the last來的普遍，與其同義的短語有at long last和at the long last，只是它們的程度更深一點，有“雖然經過了長時期”的含義。要注意的是，這幾種表達方式都表示時間，而不是“末了”。
At (the) last, I have to repeat my advice.
這樣是不可以說的，應改At (the) last為Finally或Lastly。
last做動詞時是持續的意思。
The supply will last five days.
存貨將持續5天。
last Monday等表達方式可作狀語短語，不需要在其前面加介詞，如on或in。但是若將last Monday改成Monday last，就需要介詞on。
They arrived last Monday.
They arrived on Monday last.
事件，行為，產品通常與latest連用而不是last來表明新的或最近的，要注意這兩個詞的區別與聯系；
last單用時，還可表示“last letter”，作最近的信解。
As I said in my last, I am in good health.
就如我在最近的信中提到的一樣，我身體很好。
用于表示“最后”時，一定要有三個或三個以上的人或物，才會出現其中一個是last。若是只有兩個的話，就不可以用last來表示，如在A和B中，B是second或latter，絕不是last；
與last所表示的“最后的”不同的是，latest表示“截至現在（或當時）為止最后的”，即“最近過去的”。
【例句用法】
1.Ten years ago this dress was considered the last word in elegance.
十年前這種連衣裙還算是最高雅的款式呢。
2.At long last a compromise was agreed on.
通過互讓最終達成折衷協議。
3.In the last resort we can always walk home.
大不了我們走回家就是了。
4.And last but not least there is the question of adequate funding.
最后同樣重要的是要有足夠的資金的問題。

【詞義辨析】
last, latest,
last: 指連續順序中的最后一個，一般譯作“最后的”，有時譯為“上一次的”或“過去的”。last的對語是first.
The last time I saw them was in Paris last year.
我最后一次看見他們是去年在巴黎。
The last letter of the alphabet is Z.
字母表的最后一個字母是Z.
I don't know whether you have received my last letter or not.
我不知道你是否已收到我上一封信。
latest: 表示時間上的“最近”，一般譯作“最近的”、“最新的”或“最晚的”。latest的對語是earliest.
The latest news about the Mideast is the beginning of another round of peace-talks.
關于中東的最新消息是另一回和談已展開。
What is the latest fashion in town?
城中的最新時尚是什么？
This is his latest novel；we hope it is not his last.
這是他最新的著作，我們希望這不是他的最后一部。
