【詞語用法】
1.in case of指“假如……發生，以防……”。
Take an umbrella with you in case of rain.
帶把傘吧，以防下雨。
2.in the case of指“關于……”，偶爾與in case of同義。
In the case of his father, we must make an exception.
關于他的父親，我需要做個例外。
3.in the case of，in ...case和in many cases等表達方式都要避免使用過多，有時還可省略。
In the case of Russian grammar, it has six cases.
可以直接說Russian grammar has six cases，省略in the case of。
4.in case后加that從句指“假如……”或“希望”，從句中不用將來時態。
In case he comes, let me know.
You had better be ready in case they arrive before you expect them.
5.in case可獨立使用，表示“萬一”。
They may not arrive before you expect them, but you had better be ready in case.
他們可能不會在你預期的時間前到，但為避免萬一，你最好做好準備。
【錯句舉例與錯句分析】
錯句：In case of physicial change, no new substance is formed.
糾正：In the case of physicial change, no new substance is formed.
翻譯：至于物理變化，沒有產生新物質。
分析：in case of“以防……”，而in the case of指“至于”。

【詞義辨析】
plan, design, plot, scheme, project, blueprint, programme,
plan: 最普通常用詞，多指事先經過較充分的準備或考慮后制定的計劃，也可指非決定性的打算或設想。
design: 側重指按照目標、目的意向，根據固定格式精心作出的計劃或安排。
plot: 主要指為實現某一陰謀而擬定秘密的計劃。
scheme: 普通用詞，比plan更強調計劃的通盤籌劃和某些細節的精心安排。在現代英語中，常用于指陰謀詭計。
project: 多指由個人或集體為進行某項工作或完成某一項較大的任務，而制定的計劃方案或設想。
blueprint: 從本義藍圖，引申指詳細而具體的行動計劃。
programme: 使用廣泛，既可指思想上的計劃，又可指任何形式的書面計劃或規劃。
【詞語用法】
1.名詞plan后面常接for/of加動名詞，不常跟不定式，例如a plan for/of developing the business；
2.動詞plan后面常接不定式，但在口語中常接on加動名詞。
I plan to call on them next week.
I'm planning on calling on them next week.
3.plan out意為“為……預先制定一個計劃”。
He is busy planning out a new book.
4.according to plan這種用法里plan前不加the，表示“按照計劃地”。
Everything went according to plan.
【錯句舉例與錯句分析】
錯句：The plan of the day should be made in the morning.
糾正：The plan for the day should be made in the morning.
翻譯：一天的計劃應該在早上擬好。
分析：名詞plan后跟介詞for指“……樣的計劃”，也可接動詞不定式作定語，但不能用of。
