1. play with 玩弄，與...一起玩

男子玩弄女子的情感是不對(duì)的。

危險(xiǎn)，別淘氣。
情景對(duì)話：
A: I don't think he's serious. 我覺得他不是很嚴(yán)肅。
B: Yeah, he sort of play with the work. 是的，他對(duì)工作有些玩弄的意味。
2. ditch 表示要馬上離開一個(gè)不想再呆的地方；ditch后不僅可以跟地點(diǎn)，也可以跟人，指離開某人；
It's too noisy. Let's ditch this place.
這兒太鬧，我們趕快走吧。
Hey, can we ditch the library now! I am really tired and could use some coffee.
嗨，讓我們離開這圖書館吧，我累了，想喝咖啡。
情景對(duì)話：
A: I've had lunch already! 我吃過午飯了！
B: Oh, I haven't yet, I have to ditch you now. Bye! 噢，我還沒呢，我不奉陪了，再見了。
3. yank out 拉出去，拖出去...
yank a person out of his seat
強(qiáng)拉一個(gè)人離開座位
The dentist is going to yank this tooth out.
牙醫(yī)將拔掉這只牙。
情景對(duì)話：
A: It's said that boxer got hurt. 據(jù)說那名拳擊手受傷了。
B: Yeah, so his opponent yanked his hat out of the ring. 是的，這樣他的對(duì)手就把他擊出了拳擊臺(tái)。
4.Not even close 差遠(yuǎn)了，門都沒有，八字都沒一撇
情景對(duì)話：
A: Did I give you the right answer? 你的回答正確嗎？
B: Not even close. 差十萬八千里。
5. take control 采取主動(dòng)，控制
The story was not yet complete. Just as in real life accidents can happen; a character might take control.
故事還未結(jié)束，正如現(xiàn)實(shí)生活中有諸多偶發(fā)事件一樣，說不定哪個(gè)人物會(huì)占上風(fēng)。

情景對(duì)話：
A: I'm not sure whether John love me. 我不確定約翰是否喜歡我。
B: Take control, and before you know it you will mesmerize the person of your choice. 主動(dòng)點(diǎn)，你已經(jīng)讓你看中的人很著迷了。
6. Are you sure (that)...?你確定...？ are you sure引導(dǎo)的是賓語從句，連接詞that無意義，在從句中不充當(dāng)任何成分，可以省略；
Are you sure that's the right move?
你有把握這是正確的行動(dòng)嗎？
Are you sure these test results are reliable?
你能肯定這些考試成績(jī)是可靠的嗎？
情景對(duì)話：
A: Are you sure you`re all right? You look a bit worried today. Is anything wrong?你肯定沒事？你今天看上去有點(diǎn)著急。是不是出了什么事？
B: Nothing, maybe I'm too tired. 沒事，可能是太累了。
7. clean out 有很多意思，這里指“短時(shí)間內(nèi)被搶購?fù)辍保?還表示“清理干凈”；
She cleaned out her savings in a short time.
她在短時(shí)間內(nèi)把全部積蓄都花光了。
It's time you clean out the drawers of your desk; they are full of old paper.
是你應(yīng)該把你的抽屜清除干凈的時(shí)候了，里面全是廢紙。
情景對(duì)話：
A: Why didn't you buy fruits? It's said there was a sale on Carrefour. 你怎么不買些水果？聽說家樂福正在搞促銷。
B: Oh, don't mention it, it's cleaned out before I arrived there. 噢，別提了，我到之前已經(jīng)賣完了。
