　　那一刻，電話鈴聲真的想起，Kate不禁猶豫起來，會(huì)不會(huì)是Alex？難道這真的變成現(xiàn)實(shí)了？電話通了，原來是Morgan，Kate的語氣明顯透出一絲失望。

　　Morgan謊稱來芝加哥開會(huì)，但是會(huì)議取消，于是給Kate打電話。他們想去芝加哥最好的一家飯店，卻沒想到，這家飯店生意非常火，位置已經(jīng)預(yù)定到了十月份。Morgan很失望，Kate亦料到這只是Morgan見她的借口。

　　沒想到，這么久過去了，Morgan仍然為兩年前Kate和生日宴會(huì)上一個(gè)陌生人的吻而吃醋，誰又料到，這個(gè)人就是Alex呢？

Kate：Hello.

Morgan：Kate?

Kate：Yes?

Morgan：It's Morgan.

Kate：Morgan.

Morgan：Yeah. I'm here in Chicago. I came down for a meeting, but it was canceled so I thought I'd give you a call. Hey, have you eaten?

Kate：No, but l'm not--

Morgan：Neither have l. l realized l'm starving. We could grab a quick bite.

Kate：Okay.

Morgan：Yeah?

Kate：All right.

Morgan：Looks pretty good.

Kate：Oh.

Morgan：Perfect.

Kate：No, Morgan, it's-- lt's not. No, no.

Morgan：Trust me.

Kate：lt's-- Okay.

Morgan：Hi there.

Receptionist：One sec. Could you hold on for a moment?

Morgan：We'd love a table for two.

Receptionist：The name?

Morgan：We don't... We don't have a reservation.

Receptionist：l'm sorry, sir, we're booked until October.

Morgan：October? Well...l'll get back to you. That went well.

Kate：lt's no big deal. Oh, come on, stop it. lt's the best restaurant in town. No body gets a table here.

Morgan：No, it's not that.

Kate：Well, what is it?

Morgan：l didn't do this right.

Kate：There wasn't a meeting. Was there?

Morgan：You'd see me if there was no big deal. lf it was just...

Kate：Ambush.

Morgan：...you know, coffee, and coffee can turn into dinner...dinner can turn into...

Kate：Turn into what?

Morgan：I admit. I do sometimes get a few steps ahead of myself.

Kate：Morgan, a few steps? You're always leaping 10 steps ahead. We were dating, what, a week? And you had our entire future mapped out for us? In my residency, you were picking out real estate. l'd go to your house...you'd have the entire town in your house to meet me.

Morgan：I do seem to remember that you made pretty fast friends with one of them.

Kate：What are you talking about?

Morgan：You know what l'm talking about. That guy.

Kate：What guy?

Morgan：The guy l caught you making out with.

Kate：l wasn't making out with him. What, are we in junior high school right now?

Morgan：What do you call it, then?

Kate：A kiss. lt was just one kiss with some random guy that just years... You know what?
