1.seamless
天衣無縫
That was seamless. = That was perfect.
那件事完美無缺。
例子：I don't think that I will fail because I have a seamless plan.
我相信我不會(huì)失敗，因?yàn)槲业挠?jì)劃天衣無縫。
2.rob the cradle
劫搖籃(老牛吃嫩草)
He is robbing the cradle. = His girlfriend is significantly younger than him.
他的女朋友比他小的多。
例子：People tell him that he is robbing the cradle because he is 42 and his girlfriend is 23, but he doesn't care because he says that they are in love and age doesn't matter.
人都說他老牛吃嫩草，因?yàn)樗?2，她才23。可他倒不在乎。 他說：只要兩人相愛，年齡差距不要緊。
3.burst your bubble
扎破泡泡（打破人的幻想）
I hope to burst your bubble. = I don't want to tell you the truth and ruin your incorrect idea or hope.
我真不愿意把真相告訴你，而打破你的幻想。
例子：I hate to burst your bubble, because I know that you are excited about going to dinner with her. But, I know that she has a boyfriend and only wants to be your friend, nothing more.
我真不愿意殺風(fēng)景。不過我知道你很高興能跟她一起上館子，但是我也知道她已經(jīng)有男朋友了。她只想跟你做普通朋友，不談其他。
4.a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush
一鳥在手，勝似二鳥在林。
You should know that a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. = You should know that it is better to choose the one certain thing than to choose something better that is uncertain.
豈不知還沒到手的東西,雖然看起來比較好,卻未必是你的.所以不如已經(jīng)到手的東西.
例子:I wouldn't quit my job because maybe could get a better one. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
我不會(huì)因?yàn)榭赡苷业礁玫墓ぷ?就把現(xiàn)在的工作辭了,究竟一鳥在手,勝似二鳥在林.
