例子：If we invite Doug to the party, then Nikki will come too because they are joined at the hip.

He has one foot in the grave. = He is very old and will probably die soon.

他年事已高，活不長了。

例子： A man at his age and in his health should not be trying to go skiing. He already has one foot in the grave, skiing could kill him.

一個人到了他這把年紀和這個健康狀況，就不該去滑雪。他都入土三尺了，滑雪會要了他的命。

那么說或者做是既不公平也不正當的。

例子：Although you were in the middle of an argument, it was really a low blow to reveal you friend's secret in front of everyone.
