目前，亞洲的發(fā)展面臨著新的機遇，也面臨著新的挑戰(zhàn)。總體上，亞洲依然是當今世界最具經濟活力和發(fā)展?jié)摿Φ牡貐^(qū)。經濟全球化的深入發(fā)展和科學技術的迅猛進步，有利于亞洲各國利用國際資本，引進先進技術，開拓國際市場，推動本國經濟的發(fā)展。
　　但是，亞洲某些地區(qū)的安全形勢仍不容樂觀，反對恐怖主義的斗爭尚待深入。經濟全球化在帶來發(fā)展機遇的同時，也增加了國際經濟環(huán)境的不確定性，增加了本地區(qū)內發(fā)展中經濟體結構調整的難度和遭遇外部沖擊的風險。

　　At present, Asia is facing potential challenges as well as opportunities. As a whole, Asia is still the region with the greatest economic vigor and potential for development. The further development of the economic globalization and the rapid advance of science and technology make it possible for the various countries in Asia to introduce new technology and to explore the international market so as to promote the economic growth of their own countries.

　　 However, we can not be too optimistic over the situation in that further efforts are expected to combat terrorism. Having brought the opportunities for development, the economic globalization makes the international economy even more uncertain, and it more difficult for the economies in the region to restructure their economies. Similarly, it makes these countries more likely to be impacted by the external factors.
