More emphasis on PE scores
多地增加體育中考分值
Most provincial-level regions in China will increase the weighting of physical education in the high school entrance exam, or zhongkao, starting next year, the Ministry of Education said on Monday.
12月14日，教育部體育衛(wèi)生與藝術教育司司長王登峰表示，明年起絕大多數(shù)省份體育中考分值將增加。
Wang Dengfeng, director of the ministry's Department of Physical, Health and Arts Education, said PE tests are currently mandatory in the zhongkao in all provincial-level regions, with scores ranging from 30 to 100 points.
王登峰說，目前全國已經(jīng)實現(xiàn)體育中考全覆蓋，分值從30分-100分不等。
Based on recent reports the ministry received from local education authorities, most regions plan to significantly increase PE scores in the zhongkao next year, which marks an important development in reforming the evaluation of school physical education, he said.
最近一段時間，教育部陸續(xù)接到各地報來的情況，從2021年起，絕大多數(shù)省份體育中考分值都會增加且幅度較大。王登峰表示，這是學校體育教育評價改革的重要一步。
In October, the general offices of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the State Council issued a guideline on strengthening and improving physical education in schools. The guideline asked education authorities to gradually increase PE scores in the zhongkao and improve the content and method of testing.
今年10月，中共中央辦公廳和國務院辦公廳印發(fā)《關于全面加強和改進新時代學校體育工作的意見》，要求教育部門逐漸提高體育中考分值，改進體育測試內(nèi)容和方式。
